It's customary on Purim to give gifts of food to friends, called mishloach manot in Hebrew (or shalach manos in Yiddish). Every year I make increasingly elaborate papercut mishloach manot packages for this ritual of edible gift giving. This year, I bring you The Whole Megillah. Based on traditional handled cases for the scroll from which the Book of Esther is read, these "gold" boxes open to reveal fun sweets inside. I had a lot of fun designing my own version of a faux-Hebrew script for my Happy Purim message to match the scribal Hebrew on the megillah. Purim sameach!
