Burning Bush mural
This mural at Northwest Yeshiva High School in Seattle represents the burning bush, where Moshe answered the call to be a leader: "hineni" — here I am. I first drew out the design on wood boards. The entire school helped paint it, and when the background was done, each student and faculty member wrote the word "Hineni" on the mural with shiny gloss, committing themselves to being present in their community and in the world beyond. The mural now hangs in the auditorium/beit midrash, used for learning, prayer, and all-school events. It was a powerful experience to be a part of, and how cool does it look when the light hits the letters just right?!
